O ur Research! The human adventure first We carry out research on the role of human complexity in the the emergence of perceptual and cognitive processes. To put it simply, the point is that when you look at a scene for instance, as a function of your expertise, your emotions, your fatigue, your thirst, your neurological or psychiatric status, what you see can significantly vary... How perception and cognition interact with other processes is very important to us, since in real life, people are not isolated cognitive or perceptual agents. They are a unified whole, dynamized by very different processes. Our research is almost entirely experimental, though self-reported measures are sometimes used, principally as complementary tools for understanding psychological processes at different levels simultaneously. We heavily rely on the analysis of response's nature, reaction or response times and eye movement recording.
